"In an age of uncertainty, instability, and throwaways, stone offers us a sense of strength, and permanence. It also adds value to, and often becomes the focal point of the property. When considering professional masonry, it is important to learn how to recognize good work. Are the stones tightly fit, or are the mortar joints too wide? Is there symmetry to the work, or are the stones all different sizes and shapes? Try to take notice of stonework that looks appealing. These are all important characteristics of quality masonry. Keep in mind that this is an investment that cannot be easily reversed, and one you will have to live with. As a Master Stonemason and artist, I accept nothing less than perfection in my work. It's such a rewarding feeling, when a job is completed, and I can stand back and admire what I have created."
